Back Extension Technique

The back extension can be a very useful exercise. It’s similar to the deadlift, but much easier to learn. Heavy deadlifts put a lot of compressive force on the spine and cause big spikes in blood pressure, both of which can be a problem for some people. With back extensions, you can avoid those issues while training a lot of the same muscles. Credit to Lyle McDonald from whom I first learned of this rounded back variation.
