COUCH TO STRONG

Couch to Strong is a 12 week customized strength training program designed to take a person with little or no experience lifting weights and make them a whole lot stronger while getting them comfortable and confident in the weight room.

Strength training comes with many serious side effects, including but not limited to:

  • increased muscle mass (preventing/reversing sarcopenia)

  • increased bone density (preventing/reversing osteoporosis)

  • greater ease performing activities of daily life

  • improved mobility

  • improved balance

  • improved performance at sports/recreational activities

  • improved posture

  • reduced aches and pains

  • reduced risk of death

  • and much more!

Honestly, strength training is not rocket science, but when you’re starting out in the gym, it’s so crucial to establish solid technique, good habits, and have a basic understanding of how effective training works. This is where having a good trainer can really help. Getting the fundamentals down at the beginning will save you a lot of time and frustration, and pay huge dividends for the rest of your life.

Couch to Strong involves training either twice or three times a week on non-consecutive days. While some focus and effort will be required, the workouts will never leave you feeling wrecked. This program is customized for you, so whatever your age or fitness level — even if you don’t know a bench press from a French press — that's the starting point.
