How to Lat Pulldown

The lat pulldown primarily trains the latissimus dorsi and lower trapezius in the back, as well as the biceps muscles in the upper arms. To fully involve the back muscles, it’s important to shrug down the shoulder blades during the pull, otherwise the arms end up getting most of the training.

Pullups and chin-ups are essentially the same exercise as lat pulldowns, so the same technique applies.
